Today, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign announced it has collected more than three times the necessary 800 signatures needed to get ballot access in New Jersey. Volunteers are still collecting signatures at locations throughout New Jersey over the next two weeks.

“Putting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the ballot in New Jersey marks yet another milestone in the state’s long history of defending our nation’s constitutional rights,” said Joe Amoroso, national field relations coordinator and petitioning lead in New Jersey. “Voters deserve a better alternative to the two-party system. We are honored to have helped give New Jerseyans a choice.”

The Kennedy campaign has launched a robust ballot access plan to ensure the Kennedy-Shanahan ticket is on the ballot in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The Kennedy-Shanahan ticket is officially on the ballot in seven states — UtahMichiganCaliforniaDelawareOklahomaHawaii, and Texas. It has collected enough signatures for ballot access in eight other states — New HampshireNevadaNorth CarolinaIdahoNebraskaIowaOhio, and now New Jersey.

The Kennedy-Shanahan campaign has collected the signatures needed for ballot access in 15 states, totaling 201 electoral votes, 37% of the 538 total electoral votes nationwide.

On May 1, the Kennedy campaign released results from a Zogby poll showing Kennedy would defeat either Presidents Biden and Trump in head-to-head matchups.

That poll suggested Trump would defeat Biden handily but Kennedy would beat Trump in a two-way race, albeit by a tight margin.

In a two-way race between Kennedy and President Biden, Kennedy would win in a landslide.

Kennedy is the first independent ever to defeat both major party candidates in head-to-head matchups.

The Kennedy campaign said it secured the funds to gain ballot access in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Kennedy’s vice presidential running mate Nicole Shanahan recently donated $8 million.

Shanahan also gave $2 million in March, the same month she joined the ticket, bringing her total investment in the campaign to $10 million in addition to $4.5 million that the vice presidential contender previously donated to two different super PACs backing the Kennedy campaign.
