The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and Trenton Police Department are actively investigating the fatal stabbing of a 48-year-old Hamilton man Wednesday evening.
Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey confirmed the incident, which occurred on May 14, 2025, and marks the city’s latest homicide case.
At approximately 7:05 p.m., the victim, identified as Jermaine Scott, arrived at Capital Health Regional Medical Center via private vehicle with a critical stab wound to the abdomen.
Medical personnel immediately rushed Scott into surgery, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Authorities have not disclosed a potential motive or suspect, and no arrests have been made.
