Vehicle plows through Tesla showroom in Lawrence Township, injuring three

A routine vehicle pickup turned destructive Tuesday afternoon when a sedan crashed through the glass front of the Tesla dealership on Brunswick Pike, leaving three people injured and the showroom severely damaged.

Lawrence Township Police responded to the scene at 3:08 p.m. following multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a vehicle had driven into the building at 3371 Brunswick Pike.

Upon arrival, officers found a 2025 Tesla Model 3 fully inside the showroom, surrounded by shattered glass and structural debris.

Police identified the driver as Larisa Korwin, 74, of Princeton.

According to the preliminary investigation, Korwin was at the dealership to pick up a vehicle when she inadvertently accelerated, jumping the curb and crashing through the floor-to-ceiling glass façade.

Korwin was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Two customers inside the showroom at the time of the incident also sustained minor injuries from flying glass.

They were treated on-site by emergency medical personnel and released.

In addition to police and EMS, the Lawrence Township Fire Department and the township’s Building Inspector responded to the scene.

The building official assessed the structural integrity of the showroom, which sustained significant damage to its entrance and front display area.

The incident remains under investigation by the Lawrence Township Police Department. No charges have been filed at this time.

Korkina, a native of Moscow, Russian, a well-known local pianist and music educator, has lived in Princeton since 1990 and maintains an active presence in the regional arts community.
