Progressive talk show host Stephanie Miller unleashed a scathing critique of the federal government during a recent broadcast, blasting administration policies on foreign affairs and ethics, as well as the controversial proposal to live-stream a federal execution.
Joined by her co-host, Miller lambasted foreign policy decisions on Ukraine and Russia, responding to a social media post criticizing the administration’s stance.
“This is completely outrageous and disgusting,” Miller said, reading from the post. “The U.S. is now funding Putin’s war machine as he murders civilians, including children
Radio host Stephanie Miller launched a scathing critique of the federal government during a recent broadcast, blasting administration policies on foreign affairs and ethics, as well as the controversial proposal to live-stream a federal execution.
Joined by her co-host, Miller lambasted foreign policy decisions on Ukraine and Russia, responding to a social media post criticizing the administration’s stance.
“This is completely outrageous and disgusting,” Miller said, reading from the post. “The U.S. is now funding Putin’s war machine as he murders civilians, including children.”
Miller went on to decry what she termed an “Orwellian” approach to international conflicts, mocking claims surrounding Middle East tensions and criticizing the administration’s posture toward Ukrainian leadership.
The conversation quickly shifted to domestic controversies, including recent ethics disclosures. Miller and her co-host targeted reports that President Donald Trump purchased up to $5 million in bonds issued by SpaceX, a major federal contractor headed by Elon Musk, just weeks before launching an initiative to reduce regulations for commercial space transportation.
“We’re good with [him] going to prison for insider trading,” Miller quipped, invoking historical parallels to Al Capone.
Later in the program, Miller turned her focus to the fierce debate surrounding a potential televised federal execution. The discussion addressed comments made by Sen. Markwayne Mullin, who defended the administration’s openness to broadcasting the execution of a prisoner, comparing the public pushback to debates over media standards.
Miller drew sharp parallels between defending public executions and the hypocrisy surrounding cultural censorship.
“The people that want to ban drag shows are fine with their kids watching someone get executed,” Miller said, calling the prospect a moral crisis. “You live in an America where you can’t watch Stephen Colbert anymore, but your kids can watch a live execution.”
While the Federal Communications Commission said it would defer to the Pentagon on whether networks can air the December 3 proceeding, reports suggest the administration is weighing public backlash against the live-stream plan.
Miller closed out the segment by lamenting the broader political and cultural climate, telling listeners that the current landscape transcends ordinary partisan politics.
