The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office identified the individuals involved in a fatal crash that occurred in Waterford Township on November 23, 2023.
The deceased has been identified as Christofe “Christopher” Wita, 44, of Berlin, New Jersey.
According to the preliminary investigation conducted by authorities, Sgt. Richard Sbarra of the Waterford Township Police Department was on duty and driving a department vehicle at the time of the incident.
The vehicle Sbarra was operating struck Wita while he was walking on the White Horse Pike (Route 30) in Atco.
Wita was pronounced deceased at the scene at 2:19 a.m.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no further information is being released at this time.
