Trump says that there won’t be any voting if he wins

Disgraced former president Donald Trump said that he would end elections in the United States if he won a second term.

While speaking to the Believers Summit in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Friday, Trump said: “Christians, get out and vote, just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore.”

“You got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote,” Trump said.

In the cleatest comments signaling how a second Trump presidency would be run, the convicted criminal and rapist was more explicit than when he previously said he would not be a dictator upon returning to office “except for Day One,” in response to a question at a televised town hall event about whether he would abuse his powers to seek retribution against his political adversaries.

The exchange was prefaced by the Fox News host telling Trump that the media was “attacking” him for his authoritarian rhetoric and tendencies.

The Biden campaign responded to Trump’s “dictator” remarks by posting video of the exchange.

“Donald Trump has been telling us exactly what he will do if he’s reelected and tonight he said he will be a dictator on day one,” Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement. “Americans should believe him.”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said “there’s so much at stake” in response to comments Trump made Friday saying he would end elections in the United States if he won a second term.

“Christians get out and vote. Just this time,” said Trump. “You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years. You know what? It’ll be fixed. It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore my beautiful Christians.”

Trump continued: “I love you Christians and I’m a Christian. I love you, you got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not going to have to vote.”

Trump’s comments, expressing concern that they alluded to authoritarianism and could be interpreted as an indication that he would not leave office if he wins the election.

“Democracy is in danger. This is not a drill,” posted Allison Gill, who co-hosts the podcast “Jack,” along with an image displaying Trump’s message to Christians.

The audience gave him a standing ovation, despite the chilling notion that he intends to destroy the republic.

Toward the end of his hour-long speech, Trump repeated his lie and said that Democrats rigged the 2020 presidential election.

Since his defeat, Trump has falsely maintained that he won over President Joe Biden, who got about 7 million more votes and captured the majority of the Electoral College.

Another speaker at the two-day event, which focused on “unity and biblical truth,” was former Trump adviser Peter Navarro, who was recently released from prison, spoke shortly before Trump and led the audience in a chant of: “If we don’t control our government, their government will control us.”

Trump has said many nutty things over the years, but among the most alarming were five words he uttered in his 2016 Republican National Convention acceptance speech. After reciting a litany of national miseries, Trump assured America: “I alone can fix it.”

Four years later, he told his cult followers, “I’m the only thing standing between the American Dream and total anarchy, madness and chaos.”

In his speech at this year’s convention, after vividly describing how a madman’s bullet lacerated his ear, he suggested that “I had God on my side” — an echo of his earlier statement that “I am the Chosen One.”
