Republicans nix congressional subpoena for Elon Musk as DOGE taps government data

Republicans in Congress blocked Democrats from compelling Elon Musk to answer for his actions under oath as the South African immigrant works to dismantle government agencies, threatening federal employees with layoffs and gaining access to government data,

Across the nation, protesters are demanding accountability from the oligarchs that Donald Trump has brought into the federal government.

Musk, who has made no public appearances since the inauguration, called for massive cuts in the federal government.

Through his non-government organization, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk has illegally frozen funding for several agencies, including USAID, the agency responsible for distributing international aid.

Described as a ‘special government employee’ by the White House, Musk claims he has been checking with President Donald Trump about his tactics.

“I went over it with him in detail, and he agreed that we should shut it down,” Musk said if his effort to shut down USAID.
