Another federal judge tells Trump to stop breaking the law

Oligarchy runs into limits as courts strike down illegal actions by billionaire South African immigrant Elon Musk and tyrannical President Donald Trump.

A federal judge in Boston ordered the Trump administration not to cut hundreds of millions of dollars for teacher training, finding that cuts are already affecting training programs aimed at addressing a nationwide teacher shortage.

This is the latest in a string of legal defeats in the Republican President’s attempt to destroy government institutions that were created by law.

U.S. District Judge Myong Joun sided with eight states that had requested a temporary restraining order.

The states argued the cuts were likely driven by efforts from President Donald Trump’s administration to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion programs.

Trump wants to unilaterally dismantle the Education Department, and his administration has already started undermining much of its work, including cutting dozens of contracts it dismissed as “woke” and wasteful.

The United States of America is not a monarchy where the president has unlimited power, and the commander in chief is sworn to faithfully execute the laws.

Congress has the authority to establish departments and allocate taxpayers money, not the president or Elon Musk.

Republicans have sought to weaken the role of government but failed to secure legislative approval for the elimination of agencies that perform important duties.

Trump has selected Musk, the world’s richest person and a contributor who spent $230 million helping the convicted criminal win the 2024 election, to take a chainsaw to the federal government.
