Trump attempts to justify his election cheating with outlandish lies

The President of the United States addressed the nation tonight from the Oval Office, and in a remarkable display of lunacy, presented a series of lies about the integrity of American elections that stand in stark contrast to the established facts verified by multiple federal and state agencies.

In a prime-time address, the President made sweeping claims of a “rigged” system and a “stolen” victory, assertions that have been thoroughly investigated and rejected in courts of law and by his own former administration officials.

He spoke of widespread fraud involving mail-in ballots, a method he has long criticized, yet, in a curious footnote to his argument, has personally utilized to cast his own vote.

The Commander-in-Chief leveled serious accusations of foreign interference, specifically pointing to China and the government of Venezuela.

Yet, the supporting documents released by the White House, while heavily redacted, offered conclusions far more guarded than the President’s own.

Intelligence assessments that were quoted did not support the claim that the Venezuelan government possesses the capability to manipulate elections outside its own borders.

In a move that raises significant questions about the independence of the press, the President singled out major news networks for declining to air his address, suggesting their broadcasting licenses should be revoked.

This threat, echoing recent actions by the Federal Communications Commission, represents an unprecedented pressure campaign by the executive branch on the media, an institution vital to a functioning democracy.

The President referenced documents regarding a voter registration investigation in Michigan, an issue that was publicly known years ago.

It is important to note that local officials confirmed the irregularities were caught and no ballots were erroneously sent.

This pattern of drawing inflammatory conclusions from long-settled administrative matters was a recurring theme of the evening.

Since his defeat in 2020 by a margin of some seven million votes, the President has continued a relentless assault on the electoral process.

Despite dozens of recounts and audits that have produced no evidence of significant fraud, the message from the White House remains clear: the system is broken.

When one examines the evidence, or the lack thereof, one must ask a simple question: if the system is so corrupt, why are its leaders so determined to participate in it, and to use the levers of government to change it to their favor?

Threats of election interference are growing by the day.

“Trump has refused to rule out deploying the U.S. military to polling sites this November and has called to nationalize voting in battleground states,” said New Jersey Democrat Lisa McCormick. “Trump’s Justice Department sent federal election monitors to 15 jurisdictions in six states during the 2026 primaries, it’s trying to gain access to voter rolls, although judges said no.”

“Only days ago, Trump fired the members on the previously bipartisan U.S. Election Assistance Commission, which certifies voting technology, handles the national voter registration form, and distributes federal grants to different states to support electoral administration,” said McCormick. “Vowing to do ‘anything necessary’ and urging Republicans to ‘take over the voting,’ Trump is not hiding his plan to cheat.”
