AUGUSTA, N.J. — The holiday season gets an early start in Sussex County when the Skylands Stadium Light Show and Christmas Village opens Saturday, Nov. 21, at the stadium on Championship Place.
The drive-through show runs on select dates through Dec. 30. According to the stadium, visitors steer along a mile-long route lined with more than 2 million lights, making it one of the larger holiday light displays in northwestern New Jersey and an easy outing for families who want to stay warm in the car.
After the drive, the Christmas Village is free to enter. Food and photos with Santa are available at an extra cost, and parking is free, the stadium says.
Tickets are sold per carload and must be bought online in advance. A standard ticket, $29 per carload for a single entry, requires choosing a reserved date and time slot. A VIP ticket, $79 per carload for a single entry, can be used on any operating date without a reservation and includes access to an express entry lane and two holiday novelty toys.
Because the show operates only on select dates, visitors should check the stadium’s posted schedule before planning a trip. Management says it may adjust closing times based on attendance.
Skylands Stadium is at 94 Championship Place in Augusta.
