LEONIA, N.J. — Families looking for an unusual holiday card photo can pose with a horse later this month at the Bergen Equestrian Center in Overpeck County Park, with the money going to a free equine therapy program, organizers said.
The center will hold its annual Holiday Photos with a Horse event Saturday, Nov. 28, and Sunday, Nov. 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 40 Fort Lee Road in Leonia, according to a release issued by Prana Marketing & Media Relations on the center’s behalf.
A $75 donation is requested for each session. Organizers said all proceeds will support Our Stable Life, a nonprofit based at the center that offers free, non-riding equine therapy programs for people facing personal difficulties.
Participants will be photographed with a horse from the center against one of three holiday backdrops. Props such as wreaths, Santa hats and Hanukkah decorations will be available, and guests may bring their own items to reflect the traditions they celebrate, the release said.
Reservations are required and can be made by emailing BergenEquestrianCenter@gmail.com. More information about the program is available at bergenequestrian.com/support.
